CAPF

CAPF is a competitive exam conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to recruit the candidates in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). The candidates recruited through this exam, join the forces as Assistant Commandant (AC).

The exam is for recruitment of candidates in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF).

The exam is popularly referred to as UPSC CAPF. The exam comprises 2 papers. Paper 1 is a written test that will be based on multiple-choice questions on general ability and intelligence and paper 2 is descriptive nature

The following forces recruit the candidates through this exam.

• Border Security Force (BSF)
• Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF)
• Central Industrial Security Force (CISF)
• Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP)
• Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)

Eligibility :

As given in the official CAPF notification, “the candidate must hold a Bachelors degree from any recognised university” .
